Title: Sediment Dynamics and Streambank Stabilization
Speakers: Andy Tranmer (University of Idaho) and Aaron Golart (ID Dept. of Water Resources)
Streambank stabilization techniques have evolved over time. Our understanding of these practices and their impacts to stream channel stability, sediment mobility, and in-stream habitats has evolved as well. Please join IDAWRA for a webinar on April 15 that will investigate streambank stability and sediment dynamics in Idaho. Dr. Andy Tranmer of the University of Idaho’s Center for Ecohydraulics Research will present his findings from recent research his team has completed on the Boise River evaluating stream stability and sediment dynamics. Aaron Golart of the Idaho Department of Water Resources will share his experiences and observations of best practices for channel stabilization techniques across the state. After the two presentations, we’ll have time for discussion and Q&A.
